Japanese residents of Sydney gathered on Saturday afternoon at the hour of the Emperor’s coronation if or tho ceremony in honour of the event and an unusual sound of three full-voiced bangais, from a large group of the Mikado’s lieges tilled the air in the vicinity of the Consul-General’s residence at Point Piper. A peculiar interest was lent to the Sydney ceremony by the fact that Princess Kuni, mother of the Emperor of Japan, Is the elder sister of Mrs Tokugawa, wife of the Consul-General. PROTEST AT SHOOTING. DARWIN, November 11. Rev. SYDNEY, Nov. 10. The Harbour Trust Commissioner’s report for the year ended June 30th. shows that the number of vessels which entered Kvdnev Harbour totalled 7,802 of a gross tonnage of 15.808.000, being ■5(50 fewer vessels than the previous year, due largely to industrial disturbances and slackness of the coal tiade.
