Tvingsford Smith and Ulm have planned an aerial mail and passenger service on an elaborate scale between Melbourne. Sydney and Brisbane, com mi'iicng after I heir visit to America. PLANE MISHAP

NAPIER. November 11

Captain Holt met with a slight mishap this morning with the Goodwin Chichester Aviation Coy’s Avro-Avian biplane. When landing on the ground on the outskirts of Napier, the- machine struck a rather swampy patch. The pilot endeavoured to rise again to recover, and the machine left the ground safely, hut. unfortunately, the top wires of a fence caught the under carriage, and threw liie head oi toe machine towards the ground, with the result that both blades of the propeller snapped off short. The undercarriage was badly damaged, and one wing was slightly affected. Captain Holt and his one passenger, fortunately, were uninjured. HUHkiKY’S .fOUHNUY. CALCUTTA. Nov. 11.
