Profusely decorated in honour of tomorrow’s most important ceremonies, Kyioto is overfiowjng with visitors. Princes, nobles, officialdom, diplomats and representatives of other rulers have gathered to witness the unique rites, besides millions of loyal .subjects assembled for the occasion. Yesterday the Emperor and Empress underwent a dress rehearsal for the enthronement. Cabinet will not be functioning at Kvioto until Nov. I.7th.

The ‘‘Guardian” says the Prince of Wall's contemplates visiting Palestine reaching Jerusalem in 1930. He is due at Capetown on December 28th. He is desirous of describing to liis brother, Hie Boer War battlefields, which he eloselv studied on his last visit.
SMOKELESS FUEL
LONDON, Nov. 9
Smokeless fuel produced at low temperature by the carbonisation process will shortly be available in London as the result of an agreement between the South Metropolitan Gas Coy and the Low Temperature Carbonisation Ltd. This is the first Gas Coy in Britain to commercialise the new treatment of coal, which, it 'is believed, will resuscitate the coalfields.

Doumorgiie lias now conferred with forty people at Elvsee and tbe opinion prevails that the President is massing a formidable offensive, based on public opinion, in readiness to summon M. Poincare, ilio object being to put tbe cx-Premior in such a position so as be cannot refuse Hie office. Admittedly opinion has hardened in favour of his recall.

’flic Government is at last taking action against the revolutionary Zag-
reb leaders. The Premier. Father Koroshetz states he is personally prose-
cuting the chiefs of the Croat Opposition for the speeches and wild scones which occurred at Zagreb in connection with the commemoration of the Bolshevist Revolution. Several Government troops were wounded.
