GENERAL .MOTORS DIVIDEND

NEW* YORK, Nov. 8
The Directors of General Motors met after the Stock Exchange closed and voted an extra stock dividend giving the stockholders two and a half shares each for each share now held and also declared an extra dividend of two and a halt dollars on the coinmoil stock. It is expected the new stock in two and a half will he split ui> and placed on a three dollars annual basis, which will he equivalent to seven and a half dollars on the old stock. The* directors also declared regular dividends on common stock of a dollar and. a quarter per share and a regular dividend on senior stock. A special meeting of stockholders has been called for 10th December to consider Ine change in par value of stock which at piescnt is twentv-live dollars.

Dr Strcscmaun (Foreign AHnister) is involved in grave complications with tlie .Soviet. The whole Foreign Office is in an uproar. German newspapers have severely (•ensured cypher messages passing between Aloscow and Berlin. Alany believe the injunction will culminate in the success of the monarchist •intrigues. due to the German aristocrats who are sympathising with the Russian emigres.
