WEDDING BELLS

At St. Mary’s Church recently the marriage was celebrated of Julip, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Murphy, of Ruatapu, to Frederick, eldest sou of Mr and Mrs Black, of Harihari. Rev. Father Finerty officiated.

The bride who was given away by her father wore a dainty frock of apricot georgette trimmed with silver lace, her Iqng enibroidered tulle veil, which was fastened at the head with a. coronet of qrange blossoms, formed a long train. She carried a bouquet of pink and white.flowers and maidenhair fern and long tu|le streamers, with shoes and stockings to match. The bridesmaid, Miss Ejleeq Murphy,, (sister of the bride), wore a frock pf pink crepe-de-chine and mop cap to match; her bouquet was ’of violet' sweet pegs. and ribbon sfrepniers. Little Joan Murphy (sister of the bride) was flower girl, wearing *, pretty frock of mauve crepe-de-chine, W head-dress was of mauve and pink flowers, and carried a shepherd’s crook attached with flowers ribbon streamers. The bridegroojn was, .attended by AH T. Lock w? best man, and Air P. Murphy as groomsman.

After the ceremony the guests were entertained at Preston’s Tea Rooms where the usual toasts wero honoured. Later in the afternoon the happy CQuple left for Christchurch on their, honeymoon.
