N.Z. Oaks: —(3) Pride 1, (2) Prickles 2, (1) Sarnia 3. Scr. Bon Rose. AA r on by half a length. Time 2.35. Ashley Handicap: —(3) Amor 1, (6) Swoopalong 2, (1) Freezeout 3. Scr: AYaterlow, Smithereens', Wreath of Myrtle. AA'on by a neck. Time 1.40. Phastar was fourth.

Avon Handicap:—(2) Gay Sonnet 1, (1) King Midas 2, (6) Money Mine 3. Scr: Kilbronsyth. AA’on by three lengths. Time 1.25. Rascal fourth.

The tote investments were £39,542 compared with £41,034 on the corresponding- day last year.

TROTTING DRIVER PENALISED

CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 7,

The Board of the New Zealand Trotting Association to-night had before it a report of the Greymouth Trotting Club, containing an accusation against Lester Davidson, driver, of having struck another, Albert Smith, several times with his whip during the progress of a race. The club’s- 1 penalty of one month’s suspension was increased by the Board to three months’s disqualification.

LIFE DISQUALIFICATION. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 7

The Trotting Board, after a long committee sitting to-night, passed a resolution disqualifying for five years \\ . J. Larcom.be and the horse Plain George for life.

A disqualification was also imposed of two years on George A- Fuller and A. C. Fuller, for corrupt practices. It was held that Larcomibe bought the iiorse Plain George from G. A. Fuller, a disqualified person for £BO, and fraudulently wrote a receipt for £3OO showing that he had . paid £3OO to A. C. Fuller.
