ENGLAND V. VICTORIA. . RAIN PREVENTS PLAY. (Australian Press Association.) (United Service.) MELBOURNE. Nov. (>. On account- of light rain falling at noon, the resumption of the England v. Victoria cricket match was delayed. The captains inspected the ground at 2.5 p.m. The wicket was good, as it had been covered, hut the ground was too soft around the wicket. At 3.15 p.m. the captains again msjtcctcd the ground, hut they disagreed. It was still raining at I p.m. The umpires then decided that there would he no play, and they declared the game drawn. SYDNEY CLUB MATCHES. SYDNEY. Nov. 4. For University against Gordon.. Hogg made 82 and Single (not out) 50; Tor Gordon, Kollaway took 2 for 50. The game was drawn. For the Northern Districts against .Manly. Thomas scored 79 and Nitride 123, while Fitzrov took 3 for 42, Cliilvers 4 for 45 and Brennan 2 for 22. For Manly Berry made 59. while Andrews took 3 for 92 and Cant 2 for 20. Northern won.

For Paddington against, Wuverley Asher made 103, Wells 58, and Dinan 55, while Moore took 2 for 52, Asher 3 for 59 and Ember 3 for. I>B. For Waverley Gregory made 48 and took 7 for 39. Paddington won. For Glebe against tZumberlaml, Donnelly made 71 and Mair (not out) 101 and 2 for 7. Glebe won.

For Petersham against Mosman. Lawes made 105 and Seddon 80. For Mosman Tibbies took 3 for 38. Petersham won. For Western Suburbs against St George Noakes took 3 for 84 and Ward 3 for 74. Suburbs won.

For Rami wick against- Marriek ville Ward made 77 Honnan 137 and Marks (not- out) 75; total for 7 wickets 481. Randwick won on the first innings b.\ 3 wickets and 252 runs.

For Balmain against North Sydney Fisher took 6 for -19 and Hirst 3 Tor 58. North Sydney won.
