A very interesting address dealing' with several matters of interest to the farming and sawmilling community was delivered, following which there were some questions regarding farming matters. in regard to the matter ol Ireight on stock feed required from Canterbury. Mr Seddon suggested the tanners should get together and when Mr Sterling, the General Manager of Railways, visited here shortly, wait on the manager, and place their whole case bciore him. If he (M.r Seddon) were at hand when Mr Sterling visited the district, he would join with them in placing their request before Mr Sterling, and he thought the request was worthy luvourahle attention. Mr 11. A. liotklmgton moved a vote of thanks and confidence in Mr Seddon, and this was seconded by Mr J. Monk, and carried, the meeting concluding in a very hearty spirit.
