The domestic troubles of tbe Australian Seamen’s Union became accentuated in the week-end, when the chief dork of the Federal Secretary’s office, It. Hack, withdrew and transferred to the State Secretary’s office, witli the books and papers. Toni Walsh is incensed. He declared Hack automatically sacked himself and somebody else will be appointed. The Johnston taction, of Sydney Branch, held a meeting among themselves and despatched Peter McTvernaii to Adelaide to supersede tbe local secretary, C. Woodsford, who is a Walsh supporter, but tbe members there are giving McKernan the cold shoulder. The battle is not concluded.
