Kleven started. Vodelisi was the first, to begin, but Romulus led at the nine furlongs ft'om Strephon, Strogod. Kavelli. and Yodelist. with Rnlmeriim second last. Strephon ran to the front at the mile and was never alter wards headed. Prince Humphrey pulled up lame. It was later discovered that he had badly injured bis near bind tendon when running in tlio Derby, and lie was removed to a veterinary hospital.
