WHAXGAR ET POTENTIALITIES. WHAXGAREI. Nov. 5. A commerce train which lias boon touring Auckland Province, arrived at Whangarei on Saturday. The party wore taken to Puwhera Experimental Farm where the poorest land in the district has been converted into a, smiling farm; also to Portland Cement works. At a big banquet in the evening. the visitors declared they were amazed at the potentialities of the north, which offered a great field for investment. "Whangarei. the second largest town in the province astonished the visitors by its equipment and modern conveniences.
