PINEAPPLE TRADE. FIJI TO BE EXPLOITED. (Australian Press Association). SUVA., Nov. 1. Four representatives of the Hawaiian Pineapple Company arrived l|ere to-day by the Aorangi. They will' investigate the possibilities of opening a cannery in Fiji. They leave to-moi row in the Government yacht “Pioneer” to inspect possible sights for plantations. They will remain in the Group for three weeks. They were entertained by the Chamber of Commerce Luncheon Club. ANOTHER FT.JI MURDER.. - SUVA, Nov. 2. The third murder within three weeks has occurred in Fiji. An Indian near Labassa was murdered on Monday. He received terrible blows on the head. His brother-in-law has been arrested and charged with murder. \ COLONEL’S SUICIDE. SYDNEY, Nov. 2. The Coroner who enquired into the death of Colonel Lionel Guy Gisborne, returned a verdict that death was due to his casting himself from the window of the Union Club while suffering from ill health. Remnants of cablegrams indicated that Gisborne had been worried, but he recently inherited property. S.S. MAHENO. SYDNEY, November 2. The Mnlieno, which is still in dock, is sailing for Wellington at ten in the morning.
