MR SEDDON IN THE NORTH
The general election campaign being carried out by Air Seddon was continued yesterday in the neighmirhood rjf Grey mouth. In the afternoon Air Seddon visited Kaiata and spoke there in the early evening, where he had a very friendly reception. Air I l '. Faulkner was in the chair, and following a cordial introduction, Air Seddon gave an address which was listened to attentively. At the close of the speech, alter answering some questions ol local interest, a- vote of thanks and eon(id< nice was adopted on the motion of Air W. Paget, seconded by Air S. Uaulkner.
Later in the evening. Air Seddon faced a very large meeting at Blaketown, Air Tims. Collins presiding. The meeting was an attentive one, and the remarks were followed with close interest. Air Seddon replied to some oil Air O’Brien’s allegations at his Grey mouth meeting. At the close of the address thanks and confidence were accorded • Air Seddon as member for Westland, on the motion of Air R. Walker, seconded by Air J. Green.
LABOUR LEADER
AUCKLAND. October 31
Air Holland. Leader of the Opposition, addressed a crowd ol three thousand people at the Auckland I own Hall to-night. Several hundreds of people were unable to gain admittance to thr. hall. They listened to the p.'cch outside, it being re-produced throuirh loud speakers outside the hall. Air Ib-llaed spoke for two hours. Ho dealt, with the Labour Party’s platform, also criticising the policies of the other parties. There was not one hostile inlerject ion.
At the conclusion, a vote ol thanks and confidence in the Labour 1 a’t\ was carried, with three dissentient
voices. Cheers for Afr Holla ml followed the carrying of the motion.
