Coffee, the man chased on August, l()tji, by police in a motor, was sentenced to if our years’ imprisonment, for shooting with intent to evade arrest. Coffee is on crutches as the result of a bullet wound in the spine from a police revolver, lie denied any intention of shooting the police, adding that bis revolver went nil' accidentally when the police shot him down.

Two children of Frederick" Coles, of Juambafook, farmer, were burned to death while sleeping out in an apartment adjoining their home.
