ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE.
Yesterday’s fixture at the above yards comprised 114 head of cattle and 40 sheep submitted by the various Auctioneers. There was an excellent atof buyers and prices firmed on those recorded at the last sale. Ox beef made as high as 50s per hundred, for medium finished quality. Heavier sorts from 45s to 47s 6d, prime heifer beef to 47s 6d, cow beef from 35s to 42s 6d. Messrs W. Jeffries and Co. sold as follows: On account Mr G. Ferguson 42 ewes and wethers (in the wool) at 43s 6d. On account Mr Jos Manera, 1 fat cow at £ls, 1 at £ll 12s 6d, 2 at £ll ss, 1 at £lO Ss, 1 at £7 17s 6d, 1 heifer at £l2 ss, 1 at £lO 15s, 3 at £lO 5s On account Messrs Perry and Co. 1 blk at £l9, 2 at £l7 7s 6d, 2 at £l6 2s 6d, 1 at £l6, 2 at £ls 10s, 3 at £l3 17s 6d, 2 cows at £l3 ss, 1 heifer at £ll 7s 6d. On account Mr J. Davidson 2 blks at £l4 ss, 1 at £l2, 2 at £ll 17s 6d, 3 at £ll, 2 at £lO, 3 at £9 10s, 1 cow at £l3, 1 at £l2 ss.
