A DAILY MESSAGE
BE A SELF-STARTER !
The world offers its big prizes to men and women of initiative because they are self-starters. They don’t need to be cranked up to get going. Nor 'do: they need to be directed, urged, pushed, coaxed, or ordered—they move. The men with initiative initiate—they originate, carry on, carry through, without being told, because they have within them the power of self-starting. The other kind—and they are in the majority—not only need to be told what to do, how to do it, when to do it, where to do it, but they even need to be told when to stop doing it, and when they do stop they stay stopped—until somebody cranks them up again. Human self-starters are valuable, but they are comparatively rare. Many are called, but few are found. I don’t know what business you’re engaged in, but, whatever it is, it needs a few more self-starters about the. place. Every business has too many of the other sort. 1 Be a self-starter ! And start out after some of the big prizes oi life. —M. PRESTON STANLEY.
