FIVE INJURED
A LORRY SOMERSAULTS.

PAHIATUA, Oct. 27
There was a, .serious motor accident this afternoon in front of Mr R. P. Smith’s residence on the main road between Mangat.ainoka and Ngawapurua, The rear tyre on the left side of a lorry returning from. Carterton, burst when, going down a hi.ll and the lorry somersaulted. Those injured are:
Roy Rix (driver) severe cuts and bruises.
Rat O’Brien, injured ankle blade. Fred Hobbigan, broken shoulder blade.
Tom Burke, a broken arm. Barney Worth, a 'broken arm
They are all in the hospital. The lorry belonged to Staig’s Enterprises. Rix, O’Brien and 'Burke.were seated in the cab, the other two being on top of the load. The affair comprised a merry-go-round, a side show and a chairoplane. Barney Worth is a man. of unusual physical proportions, and he fared the worst.
