“ SPOILERS OF THE WEST ” -TO-NIGHT.
“ Lang, take your men and deny,the trappers oif this country within thirty days.—lt’s a man’s job, and by gad, it you don’t do it, Red Cloud will massacre the whole bunch of the money-grabbing flotsam !” So spoke General Sherman, U.S. General, in actual, history to one of his cavalry officers in connection with the adventure, drama and romance surrounding the settlement of the Indian reservations in the country where the modern State of Wyoming now stands. Metro-.Goldwyn-Mayer have brought this famous passage of colonial history to life again in Tim McCoy’s latest starring vehicle, “ Spoilers of the West,” which will be screened at the Pl’incess Theatre to-night. All the elements of high-class and actioniful outdoor drama are exquisitely blended in this, most recent, McCoy historic feature, and. those who see it wifi 'be glad that the outdoor-drama of the screen has risen to such a high ' standard. Marjorie ©aw heads a notable supporting cast in a finely-acted rolei William Fairbanks, Charles Thurston, Aaron Edwards, A. Calender and Chief Big Tree, a full-blooded Iroquois Indian, also do very "vivid, pleasing work. . W>: S. Van Dyke, who directed Tim McCoy in “ Winners of the Wilderness,” “ Cali-0 fornia,.” and “ Foreign 1 Devils,” also handled the megaphone in “Spoilers of .the West.”
The supports to-night are the latest in topicals, a beautiful New Zealand scenic, and a good comedy. On Monday next, the classic of the screen “ Les Miserables,” by Victor Hugo, one of the world’s greatest pictures.
