ROAD AND RAIL. . A COMBINED SERVICE. (British Official Wireless.) ; ' RUGBY, Oct. 24. - An interesting new experiment in passenger transport is announced by the Great Western Railway Company which is to start on Monday a road and rail service between Cheltenham, Oxford, and Loudon. The first part of the journey will bo by motor-bus and the second by rail. The inclusive fare for a return journey will be rath-, er less than one penny per mile. This is one of several new railway developments designed for meeting the rapidly-i nerqasing competition of road transport. Other announcements are expected shortly.
