It Avill visit various cities, among Avhich are Detroit, St. Louis, and Chicago, but Dr. Eckener (commander) wishes to make only a brief tour, and then return to New York, and thence hop. off for Germany early next Ayeek. Nearly all the passengers have been chosen for the return, trans-Atlantic trip, many of Avhom came here Avith the dirigible. Elaborate catering and other arrangements have been.made Ifor the passengers’ comfort on the Avestern tour.

WELLINGTON, October 25. Official delegates appointed by ,the Government and unofficial delegates appointed by tbe neAviy-formed aero clubs, are invited to attend as international aeronautical conference to be held at Washington, commencbig on December 11, 1928, and lasting three weeks. Every aero club in the Dominion may nominate delegates. Captain Kingsford Smith and Ulm are going to attend the con fere nee, which will seek to discoAei* the types of aeroplanes most generally suitable for the general needs of tbe world, and will discuss aids to navigation and uniform international Uiavs for flying, Ifor customs, and for passports. The names are to be sent in to Mr Julian B. Foster, American Trade Commissioner for New Zealand.
