> LONDON, Oct. 25. The famous Clochester oyster feast, which has been an October feature in England for decades i and the occasion of oratory- by prominent speakers, had the most strange guest ever, to-day who thrust her plate to a neighbour, whispering: “I do not like oysters. The offer was gratefully accepted. Nine thousand oysters were eaten, some of the guests consuming as many as seven dozen. . .. The chief speaker was Sir Oliver Lodge whose speech circumnavigated the universe, but omitted to refer to ovsters.
