WASHINGTON, Oct. 23
Sponsored by a Special Commission, after six years’ study a, recommendation that tho Protestant Episcopal Church should give to faith-healing its official recognition to-day held a place on the calendar of the Church Convention for early consideration. Doctor diaries Mayo Sinclair Row on (of Washington) and the Right Reverend Theodore Reese (Bishop of Southern Ohio) signed the report, enclosing the recommendation, in which it is declared: “Christian healing lias passed beyond the stage of experiment, and its value cannot be questioned. We ■ask the Convention thankfully to recognise a deepening spiritual life of the Church, which lias come through a growing recognition of the healing power of God. Wo have come to three conclusions:—First, spiritual healing has become a belief and practice ol a large and increasing number of persons; second, its value cannot longer be - questioned ; third, while faith in any supposed remedy produces some effect, vital faith in God, as revealed in Christ, is followed by results which are more sure and more lasting, and more evidently spiritual in character. We recommend that faith-healing be conducted in co-operation with medical science and practice. 1 '
