FORESTRY COMMITTEE
SUBMITS ITS REPORT.
(By Telegraph—Press Association).
WELLINGTON, Oct. 25. The Forestry Committee; which has f just toured-the Dominion, reports adversely on the existence of two schools of forestry, and is of the opinion that , the resources, both financial and teach- ;; ing of the Auckland and, the Canterbury University College, in this connection should be concentrated at one centre. If an agreement (cannot be - ' reached, which it should be, then the committee, is of the opinion that a Forestry School should be established at some neutral point,, in ( which caset, Palmerston North would he worth con- 1 sideration. The committee does not consider the associate course of much value to the Dominion, and recom- > mends its abolition. ' . „ / Tire ranger classes' should be separate . ' from the degree classes.
