MR O'BRIEN’S CAMPAIGN
Last evening a very successful meeting of the supporters of Mr Jas. O’Brien was held at the County /Chambers, which (was -addressed |by the Organiser, Mr J. Guy, who stated that the: prospects for Labour’s candidate were excellent throughout the electorate, where" his untiring work for Westland, during his term as Member for the District Remembered by the electors generally*. J*- v . 7 ' It was" resolved to fom a Cbmm’it'tee to work for the success of Mr O’Brien’s campaign, a . number of those presenfgliping ;,ele/-tecl .to ’ the Committee. ■■ The Orgainiser, at the conclusion, said that it only required that a. full poll of his supporters in the electorate should be assured in order to be ( certaip of the victory which had at last election been missed by a single vote, and it w T as recognised throughout New Zealand that in the ne£t Parliament the Labour Party wcwhjf'be i-dertaih’ to wield a far greater influence than ever before.
