Stewards to-day held an inquiry into the Dowling Steeplechase run at Randwiek on October 0. which has been the subject of adverse public comment, and which was described by the press as a fiasco. The stewards examined the trainers and other interested parties, and they came to the conclusion that the race was run on its merits, and that the mishaps in it were accidental. Consequently, no action was taken.
