RAILWAY DISASTER
FOURTEEN DEAD. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). LONDON, Oct. 14. After a. five hours’ examination of the remains of the Chnrfiold railway smash, many of whom were almost eJiarred to ashes, the doctors arc satisfied there are fourteen dead. LONDON, Oct. 14. It is believed all the bodies, mostly unrecognisable, are recovered. At least forty of the injured were from Charlield district. A second death occurred in the Glasgow smash. The newspapers draw attention to the record number of accidents this year, twenty-six, resulting in sixtythree deaths.
