Sir James Parr made a successful visit to Liverpool where he was the guest of Mersey Harbour Botivd at a luncheon, at which he.met fifty leading business men.
The Lady Mayoress, bliss Beaven, said Liverpool wanted more New Zealand produce, but it was essential that there should be “'regularity of shipments. The President of the Corn Exchange later made the same plea, pointing out there would lie considerable saving in freight if New Zealand used Liverpool a.s a distributing centre, for a great and populous area. . Hir J. Parr in reply declared much depended on the extent to which New Zealand goods were sold in the shops. He would thoroughly investigate the matter and report to his Government. New Zealand was keen to find markets. especially for dairy produce, the export of which had increased thirtythree per cent, in twelve months.
