HORAN’S OBJECTION TO ARREST. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copy r i gl 11). BRUSSELS. October 11. Mr lloran complains that he was arrested in Paris like any criminal. He refuses to return. LONDON, October 12. The “Morning Post’s” Paris correspondent says: It is believed that a statement, signed by Mr 'Horan at the Prefecture on Monday, showed that he took a much more 'important part in securing tlie document', than has heretofore been supposed.; -> •• The “Morning Post” states the Paris police detained and questioned two Frenchmen, said to lie Government officials, whom Mr Horan named in a statement on Monday. It is believed also that he named a French journalist as an intermediary.

HIGH PERSONS INVOLVED. (Received this day at 9.25. a.m.) PARIS, October 12. In connection with the Horan affair ' Le Journal ” reports the arrest of a man in a high social position, who previously assisted the secret police. Other allusions were made to the person having relations with high-placed persons in the Foreign Office and also held a position in America. It is understood that among names supplied by Horan to the police is the name of a woman. “Le Matin” says one of the suspects fully confessed.. The “Excelsior” alleges Horan paid two thousand sterling for the incriminating document.
