EXTENSION PROPOSALS. (Australian Press Association). MELBOURNE, Oct. 11. Though rebuffed by the drivers’ and carters’ refusal to join the strike, the militants of the \\aterskiers’ Council of Action are endeavouring to extend the dispute to the raihvaynieu and other organisations, including the tugboat men.

A mass meeting of the watevsiders and seamen to-day adopted a resolution demanding that the Australasian Council of Trades -Unions and this Combined Unions’ Executive call upon all the Union water-skiers throughout Australia to cease work. The meeting also passed a resolution that the overseas seamen be called out, and that billeting be arranged for them. VICTORIAN SEAMEN’S STAND MELBOURNE, Oct. 11. The Victorian seamen at the meeting to-day decided to refuse to man any ships.
