ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF WEST COAST DELEGATES. GEEYMOUTH, Oct. 11. Yesterday morning the Executive officers of the North Canterbury District W.C.T.U. (Mrs T. E'. Taylor, Mrs C. W. Barrell, and Miss B. M. Harba.nd) met in conference with the officers and delegates of Grey month, Hokitikai. Reef ton, Blackball and R timing a Unions. A 1 rs Baiteller, President of the Greymouth Union, welcomed the delegal as and outlined the reasons for the calling of the eon fere n oe. Airs Taylor, J.P., who presided over the Convention, explained the nature of the Home meetings campaign. It was decided to request the North Canterbury District Executive to send a lady lecturer to the Coast on Saturday Oct. 27th. to do campaign work for a fortnight. The s VCI tom of postal voting was fully discussed and the regulations concerning it were distributed amongst members of the Convention. The afternoon session was occupied with the presentation of reports from the eight Unions on the Coast. The''’ 3 disclosed a membership of IAS adults, with “cradle rolls’’ attached to several unions. It was decided to* recommend t’>" Grey mouth Union to get in touch w-itli the other unions, especially the more isolated ones, in order that they might cooperate better in their work.

Airs Taylor, a New Zealand delegate to the Pan-Pacific Conference of .Women, gave an account of her impressions of Honolulu and of the outstanding personalities of the conference.
