The Chairman to move :—“That the accounts presented for the month of September, 1928, as revised and recommended by the Finance Committee, amounting to , be passed for payment.” 2. The Chairman to move :—.“That the Council express to the Prime Alinister, Alinister of Public Atorks, and colleagues, hearty appreciation of the proposal contained in\the Public Yorks statement to link up Yhe arterial roads connecting Westland and Otago, and express further, the hope that this great and important undertaking may be prosecuted with the utmost despatch as funds year by year permit.”

ThtvCbainnan to move “That in connection with the .foregoing national public work, the local bodies interested in Otago Province (including the Otago Expansion League) he .nvited to cooperate with the local bodies of Westlaud in urging the Government to actively prosecute the carrying on of the important and valuable link in communication with the greatest possible despatch within the limits of the funds annually available. ’ 4 The Chairman to move:—“That the Council authorise the purchase of a AleCorinick-Deering tractor for general work at a cost of £-118 Ids. plus the additional charge of purchase by deferred payment through the Alain Highways Board.”.
