CHRISTIAN RE-UNION
GREEK AND LUTHERAN LEADERS AT ANGLICAN CONGRESS. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). LONDON, Oct. G. A new stage in a long progress towards Christian reunion was reached at Cheltenham, when Archbishop Germ an os, of the Greek Orthodox Church, stood with two foremost exponents of the German and Danish Lutherian Churches and with representations of five British Flee Churches on the platform at the Church Congress. The depth of understanding revealed in their addresses drew from the former Bishop of Gloucester a remark that what be had seen and heard, encouraged him to hope that sometlmg might be accomplished in future in the direction of reunion. “We do not want to make a pact with this or that Church. Me are not yet ready; but. if we consider the subjects uppermost to-day wo must realise that there will be an immense gain when we are allowed to hear men of other religions in our pulpits, and when we can preach to them.”
