Fat Cattle —The yarding comprised about 470 head. There was a large proportion of backward stuff. The I test quality was selling up to late rates. Poor sorts were in less demand. Heavy steers fetched £lB 10s to £2l ss, extra to £22- 2s 6cl, prime £ls 10s to £l6 os, medium £lB 5s to £l4 Los ; ,- light £ll 10s to £l2 15s. Heavy cows fetched £l2 ].ss to £lB 10s, extra to £l4 2s 6d, prime £8 10s to £lO 10s, medium £7 os to £B. light Co os to £6 ss. Heavy heifers sold at/£l2 10s to £lB 15s, extra to £ls ss, prime £1() 10s to £l2 os, medium £8 15s to £9 15s, light £6 os to £7 10s. Fat sheep.—There was a fair eqtry. The quality was mixed. The market was easied by Is 6d per head in most cases. Best heavy wethers sold from 44s to 47s 6d, heavy wethers from 40s to 445, medium 80s to 89s, lighter 30s to 355. Prime owes fetched 36s to 40s. extra, to 44s Id, medium 38s to 445, lighter 34s Gd to 27s 6d, inferior from 21s. Prime show wethers sold to 35s 7d and prime show ewes to ,82s. Store sheep—There was a small yarding, mostly of ewes and lambs. The entry was selling from Is to 2s per head less than last week.
