bomb outrage. (Australian Brass Association). (United Service). BRISBANE, Oct. 3. Early this morning a bomb exploded at the home of Frederick Gilmore, Chairman of the South Johnstone Sugar Cane Mill, at Innisfail, causing considerable damage. The inmates, win* were all asleep, were uninjured. The police, aided by black trackers, are investigating. N.S.W. DROUGHT BROKEN. SYDNEY, Oct. 3. The disastrous dry spell has broken. Heavy rain is now falling over the great part of the State, greatly benefiting the wheat belt, and reviving the hopes of a bumper harvest. A DESTRUCTIVE FIRE. SYDNEY, Oct. 3. A lire at Trangie destroyed seven shops and dwellings. The damage totals ten thousand sterling. COMMISSIONER’S COLLAPSE. SYDNEY, Oct. 3. ' Chief Civic Commissioner Fleming collapsed while lunching. He was taken to the hospital suffering from a paralytic stroke. At a late hour he was Till unconscious. DEATH. OF FLEMING. (Received this day at 9. a.m.) SYDNEY, October 4. Fleming (cabled earlier) died without regaining consciousness.
