TUNNEY MARRIED. (Received this day at 10 a.m.) ROME, Oct. 3. Tunney was married in the strictest privacy in the presence of twenty, the majority of whom were friends who accompanied the bride from America. Of two flower, filled drawing rooms at. the Hotel Rorisie, one was used for the civil ceremony, performed by Signor Brofferio, a Fascist leader, .and the: other for the religious ceremony. Ttinney’s '• intimate friend. Alonsignor.Breslin, vice-Rector of an American College, presided.

Tunney was radiant and Miss Lauder looked her prettiest. . The bride’s mother wept when the wedding rings were exchanged. The couple departed for a destination which was not revealed.

ANNOYED WITH TUNNIEY. ROME, Oct. 3.' Tunney and his bride were the subject of a hostile demonstration as they left by motor for Notberu Italy, sections of the crowd being violent and it is reported some spat at the car. The demonstration is alleged to have been organised by annoyed - photographers and cinema operators. at Tunney’s refusal to permit photographs throughout the wedding. Tunney persistently refused to permit photographers to approach the scene and it is reported to have threatened to smash the camera of anyone attempting it.
