GENEROUS GIFTS.

(Received this day at 12.25. p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 2. Lord Woolavington has given Middlesex Hospital £125,000 in memory of his wife. The gift will enable provision to’ be made for the accommodation of middle class patients, who will pay a flat rate to cover maintenance and operation costs, but no profits will accrue to the hospital. The fees paid doctors will bo assessed in accordance with the financial condition of each patient. Lord Woolavington has also given #50,000 for the restoration of Saint George’s Chapel, Windsor.
