(By Telegraph—Press Association). THE HOUSE. ; ' PUBLIC iWORKS ESTIMATES. AYELLTNGTON, October 2. The House of Representatives met at. 2.30 p.m. and took up the discussion of the Public Works Statement. After a debate lasting for several hours, the House went on to pass the Public Works Estimates. Tire Opposition made several attempts to reduce the votes, but were heavily defeated and by 3 a.m. votes amounting to £8,753,600 were agieed to. The House rose at 3.10 a.m. till 2.30 p.m.
