Farrell, with a score of 147, gained first place in the qualifying thirtysix holes for the local professional tournament. Kirkwood 153, tied for seventh place, and Hagen 159, tied for fourteenth place. Kirkwood led the field after the first eighteen holes, which he did in 73. AMERICAN TOURNAMENT. NEW YORK, Sept. 22.
