Love causes another complication, and lie moist vindicate himself in .the-eyes of the girl by overcoming his coward- ~f ice. Again proving his great versa-; tility, Syd. Chaplin plays three characters in • in his present starring vehicle, “The Missing Link,” which Charles F. Reisner directed for Warner Bros. Syd. plays a London derelict, who, in turn, plays the part of a lord,, who in the part .of a Scotchman. This, triple characterisation was the cause'of mam outbursts of laughfcqrf'during the making <of the film, for it was a very difficult; tiling for Syd .to remember which character lie was playing.
