CHINESE FICHTING. REBELS SURRENDERED. Australian Press Assn.—United Service (Received this day at 8 a.m.) SHANGHAI, Sept. 19. General Yangyuting (Field Commander of the Manchurian forces) opposing the rebellious Chibli-Shantung troops, reports tlie latter have completely surrendered, and disarming is proceeding, discrediting earlier reports that the rebels were crushingly defeated. Mukdoniles obliterations of the rebellious elements is expected to hasten the unification of north and south and restore peace, which has been unknown iri northern China for years. Political experts here refuse to consider the. unification possible, While Feng Yuhsiang is alive, leading to the army maintaining direct communication and obtaining supplies from Moscow.
