THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES
Dominion’s “Coming Of Agk.” Special interest will attach to this year’s observances of Dominion Day, which falls next Monday (September 24th), by reason of the fact that it marks Now Zealand’s “coming of age.” It was in 1907 that the colony was declared Dominion. Dominion Day is a Government, legal, banks and insurance holiday. Sir Joseph Ward was Premier at the time of the declaration when the title of the high office was changed to Prime Minister.
