BRITISH TITLE CLAIM. STORY OF SECRET MARRIAGE BUDAPEST. August 9. John Dornothy, a Budapest artisan, claims to be the rightful heir to the .Seeley title. He has instructed a Hungarian lawyer to try to obtain recognition of his claim. Dornothy says his grandfather was Lord Seeley’s third son. According to the story, while visiting South Hungary, at tho age of 17, lie secretly married a Greek Catholic of extreme beauty.
Returning to England, according to the story, Dornothy’s grandfather, who had turned a Greek Catholic, refused to revert to Protestantism and was disowned.
He settled In Hungary, assuming the name of Dornothy and Hungarian nationality. Tho child of the marriage received a good education hut later lost his money, so that John Dornothy was obliged to became an artisan.
Dornothy claims to have papers .substantiating his assertions.
