- ALLEGED MURDER. VANCOUVER, September 18. Stories, lately current regarding tlio alleged murder of four boys on tho riverside of the chicken ranch, outside Ontario, California, is the result oi revelations by 15-year-old Sanford Clark, who was detained by Los Angeles immigration officials, because ho stated ho entered the United States illegally from Canada. A search is now being made 'tor Gordon Stewart Northcott, aged 22, and his mother, Louise Northcoty, - against whom a charge of murder is laid. Cyrus-Nortli-cott, father tft Gordon, corroborated Clark’s story and referred to a ’ fifth youth done to death.
A TRIAL FLIGHT. LONDON, September 18. ■ A me’Ssago from Friedriehsliaven states the new giant Zeppelin L.Z. 127, held a trial 'flight over Lake Constance at a height of three hundred feet, using petrol. She was accompanied by aeroplanes amid the cheers of thousands and peals of church bells.

LONDON, Sept. 18. • A floot of Blackburn Rolls-Royce-Iris flying boats, the most powerful ever constructed in Britain, is now nearing completion and will bo brought to Yorkshire and used to equip tho Etnpiro air base at Basra, which will supplement that at Singapore, assisting the navy to patrol the trade routes.
GIVING UP TENNIS. PARIS, September 19. “I shall never play tennis, again either as an amateur or a professional. I haven’t touched a racquet for months and never want to see one again.” This was Suzanne Lenglen’s reply, when questioned with reference to press reports- that she intended to seek re-in-statement as an amateur.
