ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE. Messrs M. Houston and Co. report: At yesterday’s fortnightly sale at the above yards our entry consisted of 19 head of fat cattle, which were submitted to a good attendance of buyers. The quality of the cattle entered was excellent, and competition was very keen, with the result that prices realized were much in advance of those of the previous sale. Prime ox beef averaged about 45s per hundred and heifer and cow beef from 40s to 47s 6d according to quality. We sold as follows:
On account of Messrs F. G. Williams and eons, 3 bullocks at £l6 2s (id, 2 at £l4 15s, 2 qt £l4 ss, 4 at £l4 10s. 3 heifers at £ll 10s, 1 cow at £l2 7s Gd, 2 bullocks at £l7 7s Gd, 3 heifers at £ll ss, 1 cow at £l3, 1 at £l3 12s Gd, 2 at £l2 10s, 2 bullocks at £lO, 2 at £]G 2s 6d, 3at £l6 12s Gd, 3 heifers at £l2 12s Gd, 2 at £l2 12s Gd, 2 at £ll 2s Gd, 2 at £l3 2s Gd.
