Wreckage, believed to bo from the aeroplane in which Amundsen and Guilbaud searched for the Italia, was found near Tromso. It had apparently been ill the water for a long time,'suggesting the aeroplane crashed soon after leaving Tromso.

MAIL AEROPLANE MISSING. (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.l PARIS, Sept. 13. Lieut. Demougcot, whose aeroplane carrying Continental mail from America and which was catapulted from the liner lie do France this morning olf the Irish Coast, has not arrived at Le Bourgct and shipping has been warned to keep a look-out.

THE AIRMEN. LEAVING THIS AFTERNOON. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 14. The Tasman (Ivors are expected to journey to Blenheim this afternoon. Three machines will make the trip. The dual control Bristol will he piloted by Flight-Commander Kingsford Smith arid with him will be Lieutenant Ulm.

Another Bristol will he piloted by Captain Findlay and his passenger will be Navigator Litchfield.

Captain Buckley will take the third with the wireless operator, Mr MoWilliam. Three o’clock is the time fixed for the start.
