PRINCES’ TOUR BEGINS. OF EAST AFRICA. (British Official Wireless). WELLINGTON, Sept. 7. of A Vales and his brother, tlio Duke of Gloucester set out to-day <w their tour of AU’riea, fin East Africa the Prince of Wales will lie visiting the only considerable portion of the Empire he Inis not yet seen. The tour will combine a semi-official visit and il holiday including big game hunting, and it is desirable to keep it as free from formality as possible. On arrival ut Egypt, the Princes will lunch with King Fuad, who has offered them a private yacht in ease they prefer to proceed to Soudan by river route.

The provisional arrangements are that tlio Royal Party will join the liner Malda at Ismnilin for the voyage down tlio East Coast of Africa.to Mombassa. While tlio Prince of Wales will receive addresses from native tribes, and will inspect troops, schools and hospitals on his way through Kenya, Tanganyika and Ugoiula, the Duke c..' Gloucester will.spend some days shoot-' ing in the big game fortresses of Kenya and Tanganyika. The Duke will afterwards rejoin his brother on the caravan route journey through .Rhodesia, changing to tlio railway at Broken Hill and proceed to South Africa. Absolute informality marked tlio departure in accordance with tlio Prince of Wales’ personal wish. The Royal brothers arrived at, Victoria Station, not in uniform, hut dressed ns ordinij'y civilians in lounge suits, with howler hats. There were no official personages to hid them farewell, as, accompanied by their small suite, they entered the Pullman car of the bhat train for Dover. A large crowd, however, witnessed their departure and gave the Prince and his brother an enthusiastic sendoff.
