There is bitter criticism from Michel and Virkoetter over the dicision to split the swim marathon prize money among the fourteen remaining the longest in the water. Michel contends that the judges boat called to him. He had only to exceed Virkoetter’s mark <■ to get the prize. A world challenge lias been issued by Teddy Oke, backer of George Young, to meet’ any swimmer at any place over a distance of seven to ten miles for a twenty-five thousand dollars prize.
