CANDIDATE RETIRES.. I EIjTHAM, September 7. At ii round-table conference at Ralmtn Inst night, when W. C. Cireen (liiboral candidate for Egmont) and C. A. Wilkinson (Independent candidate lor (lie same sent.) were present, Air Green voluntarily retired from tlie contest in favour of .Mr Wilkinson. 'l'his will leave a straigbt-out contest between the sitting member (Hon. 0. J. Hnwken) and -Mr Wilkinson.
