Fuse Trade Witiiin The Empire Sir Arthur Shirley Bonn, when he said that the time was fast approaching when the different parts of tho Empire must come together, and must say mat inside the Empire we must have as much free trade as possible, and that as a unit we were prepared to deal on fair and equitable terms with nil the other nations of the world. AVe must say to the other nations of the world, ‘‘AVe are free traders, we want free trade the world over. If you admit ns to your markets, we shall have free trade with you, but if you do not. admit us, the British Empire will hare something to say about it.” They were not. going to buy goods from foreign countries if foreign countries would not take their goods in part payment.
