The session was called for four o’clock when there was a full muster. He therefore had no choice but to adjourn till 10.30 to-morrow. If no names are submitted overnight, there will bo no debate at all. This Is tliefirst time the Assembly has been smitten by dumbness, in contrast to the usual volubility. The trouble at the moment appears to he to get someone to begin talking. All the big men feel that international affairs are in such a promising state in regard .to the Pact and also the naval agreement, that it is no time for technical fireworks. It is expected Baillieu will draw attention with an extension of the budget when the Finance Commission begins.'
